POSITION SUMMARY: To coordinate and implement clinical research protocols under the direction of the Director of Oncology Clinical Trials and Research Compliance, provide care to all or some of the patient's enrolled in each protocol, act as the patient advocate by assuring the safety, consistency, and accuracy of the treatment regimen as dictated by the protocol, and coordinate all nursing activities specifically related to the implementation of the treatment regimen. SCHEDULE: This position is onsite and part of the Valley Clinical Trials Research Program, focusing on Cardiology. It is a full-time, day shift role, Monday through Friday, with hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week or 80 hours bi-weekly. In this role, your day typically includes: - Screening and enrolling patients - Obtaining informed consent - Providing ongoing education and support to participants - Coordinating study visits and performing protocol-specific procedures - Ensuring accurate documentation of all research activities You will collaborate closely with investigators, coordinators, and multidisciplinary teams to maintain protocol adherence, patient safety, and data integrity. EDUCATION: Bachelor`s degree in Nursing required. Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing. Position Summary Provide wound, ostomy, and continence (WOC) nursing in the prevention, health maintenance, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitative and palliative nursing care to persons with select disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems. Directs efforts to improve quality of care to individuals of all ages directly through hands on care and indirectly as educators and consultation services. Education Current/valid state of NJ RN license (or legal permission to work from the NJ Board of Nursing). Completion of an accredited Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing (WOCN) full scope specialty education program with subsequent board certification in WOC from Wound, Ostomy, and Continence certification board (WOCNCB). Maintain recertification every (5) five years. Completion of general nursing orientation, CPR certification and unit-based orientation. BLS Required from American Heart Association. Skills Physical and cognitive requirements: Position physical requirements necessitate a full range of body motion including but not limited to, physically assisting patients, requiring stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing and pulling.
