Summary Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager (or designee), and within hospital and departmental policies and procedures, the professional registered nurse acts as a patient advocate in the application of the nursing process. Minimum Qualifications Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island by the Rhode Island Board of Nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. Basic Knowledge Graduate of a school of nursing, Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred, with current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode. This transition program involves didactic education, intensive bedside training, and preceptorship to close the knowledge gap between Level II and Level III NICU care. This structured program does not allow for flexibility, as nurses will move through the program as a cohort. Start Date: August 24. RNs will work 36 hours per week. The first 6 weeks are day shift. The final week is night shift. Once orientation is complete, RNs with work 36 hour per week, Day/Night rotation with every third weekend.
