Participate in the facility’s Quality Assessment and Assurance (QAA) committee to support continuous improvement efforts. Conduct surveillance activities, audits, and assessments to monitor infection control effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. Serve as a resource and subject-matter expert on infection prevention guidance across the organization. Qualifications for an Infection Prevention Wound Care Nurse: Current nursing license in good standing. Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required. Associate degree in Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related field required. Completion of specialized training in infection prevention and control is required. Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology (CIC) preferred.
