Job Summary Responsible for directing patient care during surgical procedures according to the AORN standards of care, specifically during the intraoperative phase of surgical procedures. Duties & Responsibilities Provide direct patient care under an approved protocol. Evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing care processes as needed to ensure optimal patient care. Assess patient information; develop plan of care to meet need of patient. Prepare and test equipment in advance of specific surgical procedures. Job Summary The Nurse Navigator functions on the multidisciplinary team as an advocate, interpreter, educator, and counselor for orthopedic surgical patients. Is responsible for ensuring all adult patients with an oncology diagnosis receive quality and comprehensive services, including coordinating patient care throughout the continuum in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
