Overview Responsible and accountable for utilizing the nursing process in the provision of patient care. The Registered Nurse, in collaboration with other members of the health care team, assesses, implements, evaluates and coordinates all patient care activities, as appropriate to the age of the patients served and areas of practice. Responsibilities Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, cognitive and cultural diversity of the patient. Experience: Minimum two (2) years' PACU experience in an acute care setting. Minimum two (2) years critical care experience. Knowledge and Skills: Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Licenses, Certifications: Current NY State RN License required. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)/ Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred. Physical Requirements: Involves standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing and bending. May include some repetitive motions.
