In 2017, the Medical Center completed a state-of-the-art campus expansion featuring a new four-story 87,000 square foot building with a private, 32-bed Intensive Care Unit, new Main Entrance and Lobby, Retail Pharmacy, Patient Registration Area and newly expanded Emergency Department. Qualification Required: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Associate degree in nursing Obtain ACLS Certification within six (6) months of hire Preferred Bachelor’s degree in nursing Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and demonstrated writing skills Minimum two (2) years RN experience working in Critical Care or Telemetry Certifications And Licenses Required Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement BLS certification through American Heart Association Scheduling Requirements Full Time Day Shift 7:00am – 7:30pm Every other weekend required. Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs Essential Functions The Registered Nurse (RN) organize and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports Department of Nursing and the Clara Maass Medical Center philosophy. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
