Review completed MDS assessments for accuracy, to include utilizing MDS software to review any coding inconsistencies and opportunities, prior to locking MDS assessments. Qualifications We are looking for detail-oriented nurses who are team players, with: Active RN licensure to work in Maryland (Maryland or Compact State). 3+ years’ experience as an MDS-Registered Nurse Assessment Coordinator to include ICD-10 coding experience. Progressive nursing experience preferably in a resident assessment environment. Must possess managerial and interpersonal skills. Proficient understanding of PDPM and clinical documentation requirements. Ability to build positive relationships and work cooperatively with an interdisciplinary team. A willingness to both learn and teach, with adaptability to make changes when needed. In-depth experience and knowledge with PDPM and CMI as related to Medicare and Medicaid service reimbursements. Sheppard Pratt's inpatient units are nationally recognized programs for the treatment of individuals with a variety of mental health conditions. The new General Adult Unit provides specialized inpatient treatment for adults 18 and older. The program utilizes an intensive multi-disciplinary treatment approach through individual therapy, milieu therapy, and process-oriented, experiential, and psycho-educational group therapies. As a Registered Nurse/RN you will: Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans. Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician. Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families. Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff. Document and report patient progress to treatment team.
