Assists in providing patient care and obtaining necessary documentation for a wide variety of research protocols. Participates in budget development, making recommendations regarding staffing, equipment, and supply issues. Monitors expenditures throughout the year, and takes required corrective action. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the State of Illinois. Five or more years nursing experience required. Demonstrated clinical and/or leadership skills that serve as a role model for subordinates. Excellent organizational skills. Computer proficiency. Considerable skill in determining priorities, working independently, and exercising sound judgment. High degree of initiative and problem-solving ability. Considerable skill in communicating verbally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure. Maturity; ability to exercise judgment and assume responsibility. Willingness to learn new systems and processes. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing, but experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Ambulatory nursing experience. Two or more years of experience with surgical procedures. Several years in a nursing leadership capacity preferred Familiarity with UCH Information Systems (Epic, Last Word, OACIS).
