Maintains working knowledge of the proper patient type and consults with case management as needed for status updates. Collaborates with Case Managers, Social Workers, and Staff Nurses regarding discharge needs/ barriers to discharge Supports implementation of new processes to improve patient care Identifies performance improvement opportunities and offers suggestions for improvement. Role models clinical excellence and demonstrates current technical and therapeutic skills. Assists in maintaining appropriate staffing assignments using budgeted guidelines. Assists with orientation, competencies, and continuing education for staff In collaboration with the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager, enforces code of conduct and policies using effective and constructive communication skills. Assists with recruitment and selection of personnel as requested. Active participant in service recovery through investigation and intervention. Performs chart audits for accuracy and completeness.
