Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Cardiology

What You'll Do The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care across the care continuum. This care will be provided in outpatient and inpatient hospital settings. Cardiology NP will hold independent clinics in outpatient setting under the guidance and collaboration with collaborating physicians. Work with the Cardiology team to conduct patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and perform physical exams. Inpatient Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Independent Status

Job Description Summary: The Advance Practice Nurse (APN) provides psychiatric care to patients. APN provides services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance abuse and mental health) issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. APN demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. APN will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received. Responsibilities: Interprets and evaluates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Administers, dispenses, and prescribes drugs and provides treatment within the APN’s scope of practice and consistent with the APN’s skills, training, and competence. May administer and dispense controlled substances on a case-by-case consistent with collaborative agreement with Center psychiatrist. Provides counseling and instruction regarding patient problems. Completes all clinical documentation in a timely fashion as prescribed in policy and procedure Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested. Maintains patient confidentiality. When seeing a patient with conditions which are beyond the education, training, competency or scope of practice of the APN, the APN will consult with or refer the patient to the collaborating Physician. Additionally, we take overflow adult patients with uncomplicated medical, surgical, orthopedic, and OB/GYN diagnoses as needed.
