KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Utilizes the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and specific competencies to assess the physical condition and nursing needs of patients, and develops a plan of care in a collaborative practice with the patient and interprofessional team. Plans for the care needs of the patient in collaboration with the interprofessional team to provide the highest quality of care and clinical outcomes. Job Summary: The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for the assessment of selected patients in the designated service. Responsibilities The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in Telemetry.
