Facilitates interdepartmental communications and acts as a liaison between the IT department and other departments within the health system. Prepares educational materials, newsletters and other supportive documentation for users on an ongoing basis. Maintains current and accurate documentation for users. Participates in departmental meetings to provide ongoing education and assist in issue resolution. Coordinates the improvement of clinician documentation through a variety of methods such as job aids, training, and quality improvement strategies for clinical staff. Trains, educates, and instructs clinical users on features, operation, and usage of software systems. Manages, trouble shoots, applies resolution and provides prompt feedback to end users on Service Requests. Participates proactively in issue prevention and problem resolution through effective use of assessment, evaluation, planning and communication. Takes call on a rotating basis as necessary for after-hours user support. Develops and communicates change control procedures and clinical updates for the EMR. Monitors system performance, and reports to IT when anomalies, errors, inaccuracies, or inefficiencies occur. Makes recommendations as needed. Responsible for assigned tasks within the specification of the project management schedule for maintenance of various applications throughout their life-cycle (implementation, upgrades, etc.). Responsibilities The Clinical Supervisor supports administrative responsibility for the department service functions and works collaboratively with the unit Director and/or Manager. In the absence of the unit Director and/or Manager, the Clinical Supervisor may assume the administrative scope of the unit assigned. The Clinical Supervisor prepares, conducts and/or oversees department(s) orientation and training of personnel. Communicates with staff, physicians, and administration both written and verbally. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible and accountable for the quality of staff and functions during their shift. Assists the Department Director in the daily operation of the unit, directing, supervising, and evaluating personnel, ensuring the proper use of time, equipment, and staff. Ensure the efficient functions of the department. Performs direct patient care, only as needed, within the scope practice. Description Weekender Program – Salary and Schedule Overview Individuals hired for a Weekender position are required to work two (2) 12-hour shifts between 7:00 PM Friday and 7:00 AM Monday. In return for this commitment, Weekenders will be compensated at 1.5 times their regular hourly rate for these shifts. A Brief Overview The Interventional Radiology Department at UH Cleveland Medical Center is a highly advanced, complex service offering a broad spectrum of state-of-the-art, image-guided procedures. Our department provides comprehensive clinical experience in both vascular and non-vascular interventions, including emergent and critical care cases, trauma, stroke intervention, oncology, hemorrhage control, and hybrid procedures. Interventional Radiology Registered Nurses deliver direct patient care and provide continuous monitoring throughout procedures.
