Job Summary: The Director of Surgical Services and Cardiac Cath Lab is a professional Registered Nurse (RN) with 24-hour accountability for the strategic, administrative, and clinical operations of the Operating Rooms, Pre-Op/PACU, Sterile Processing, and the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory . Direct daily operations of surgical suites, recovery areas, and cardiovascular procedural units. Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive strategic plan for surgical and cardiovascular services. Optimize throughput, patient flow, and resource utilization to improve efficiency. Manage inventory, supply chain, and equipment maintenance to ensure department readiness. Ensure 24/7 compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies. Hire, train, evaluate, and mentor nursing and technical staff (including RNs, CVTs, and Techs). Oversee staffing patterns, scheduling, and labor productivity benchmarks. Qualifications: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience in Operating Room (OR) or Cardiac Cath Lab. Minimum of 2+ years of progressive management experience (Manager or Director level) in a hospital setting. Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization techniques and surgical procedures. Demonstrated ability to lead in high-stress, emergency situations.
