Scheduled Weekly Hours: 30 Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a part-time RN to join our highly committed and dynamic Emergency Services team as we provide excellent quality care to over 68,000 patients of all ages annually. What You'll Do: As a nurse, you will play a direct role in providing LOVE + MEDICINE for a broad range of patient acuities. You will be expected to perform with a high degree of clinical and professional aptitude while helping deliver patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team of Providers, RNs, Paramedics, EMTs, Respiratory Therapists, Health Unit Coordinators, and Social Workers. Emergency Services, a Level II ACS-verified Trauma Center, is a high-energy, patient-centered environment consisting of 45 total patient exam rooms including ten Urgent Care rooms, five resuscitation/trauma/critical care rooms, and three dedicated Behavioral Health rooms that serve every patient population from infancy to the elderly. Patients have 24-hour access to laboratory, X-ray, and surgical services. We are also a Stroke Center with 24/7 neuro-interventional capabilities and a Chest Pain Center with 24/7 interventional cardiac catheterization lab capabilities. Emergency Services, a 2023 Emergency Nurses Association Lantern Award recipient, is recognized and acknowledged for excellence throughout the department through metrics and patient experience that is difficult to find anywhere else in the nation. What's Available: Part-time, 60 hours biweekly (0.75 FTE). NICU RN: Continuously assesses and monitors vital signs (heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation) and other signs of distress. Administers prescribed medications, intravenous fluids, and other treatments, including respiratory support and oxygen therapy. Manages feeding needs, including tube, breast milk feeding support, and ensuring adequate nutrition. Provides basic care tasks like diaper changes, bathing, and positioning. Performs procedures like inserting IV lines, administering medications, and assisting with intubation or ventilation. Operates and adjusts specialized medical equipment used in the NICU. Telemetry RN: Using telemetry equipment to track heart rhythms (EKG), blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and other vital signs. Analyzes telemetry data to identify trends, abnormalities, and potential problems, and reports these findings to physicians. Provides direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and patient education, with a focus on cardiac health. Recognizes and responds to emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, and implements appropriate interventions. Dialysis RN: Sets up and operates dialysis machines, monitors patients before, during, and after treatment, and adjusts treatment parameters as needed.
