As a Special Procedures Nurse, you will provide goal-directed nursing care that is individualized to the needs of patients and families during health and illness. Under the direction of an attending physician or licensed independent practitioner, the RN provides technically complex nursing care for patients undergoing specialized procedures. Responsibilities include moderate sedation, intravenous infusions, specialized monitoring during procedures and recovery, comprehensive patient assessment, documentation, patient education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care. The RN may also serve as Charge Nurse for the assigned unit. Required Qualifications • Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred. • Associate Degree nurses must enroll in a BSN program within six (6) to nine (9) months of hire and complete the BSN within thirty (30) months. • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. • Current Illinois Registered Nurse license. Preferred Qualifications • Leadership or Charge Nurse experience within the specialty area. • Experience working in a procedural or research environment. • Two (2) years of recent Critical Care experience. • Specialty certification in the applicable clinical area.
