The Hospital Supervisor is recognized as an administrative leader and clinical resource and is accountable for the optimal, safe, effective and timely bed placement of all patients at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals . They utilize nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to assist in the delivery of safe, therapeutic care. While functioning as a CPP RN, they are responsible for effective and timely bed placement for all patients transferring to and located at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. Education is consistent with the identified problem and associated goals and is seen as critical to creating an environment that promotes patient empowerment Employee may be required to perform Limited Laboratory Services to include patient identification and preparation for specimen collection, processing samples for testing, performing required quality control testing and instrument maintenance and function checks, monitoring, recording and reporting tests results to clinicians to include critical values, and maintaining competency/certification of the aforementioned tasks and duties. Licensed and registered care providers responsible for utilizing the care process relative to their scope of practice and knowledge base, may document the assessment, plan, intervention and Evaluation. All patient care activities are administered according to standards, procedural guidelines and organizational policy. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/LICENSE: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
