Job Description:

Perform responsible and complex duties related to school health policies and procedures
Handle confidential, sensitive, and potentially controversial information with discretion
Participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of the school health program in accordance with New Mexico regulations
Advocate for student health needs and rights
Provide health services using the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation)
Identify health concerns including social, physical, and psychological factors impacting learning
Facilitate communication between students, families, staff, medical providers, and the community

Qualifications/Special Requirements:

Associates degree, Bachelors degree, or higher in Nursing
Current Registered Nurse license issued by the New Mexico Board of Nursing
Current Professional School Nurse License issued by the State of New Mexico
Pass background check and drug screening
