Position:

This position is a part time, 48 hours per pay, varied hours per week position. This position is primarily dayshift with required flexibility to accommodate the training needs on off shifts. The position requires an RN to design, implement, organize, and evaluate education for newly graduated or transitioning Registered Nurses. The position requires facilitation of professional growth, skill, development and competency demonstration for learners while utilizing general education and adult learning principles. This position reports to the Education Manager. This is a non-union hourly position with limited weekend & no holiday requirement.

Qualifications:

  • Currently licensed to practice in the State of Ohio
  • BSN required, MSN preferred
  • Current American Heart Association BLS & ACLS Provider certification required
  • BLS AHA Instructor preferred
  • ACLS AHA Instructor preferred
  • Three years of nursing experience required. One year of teaching experience preferred.
  • One year of clinical education experience preferred

Responsibility:

  • Learning Management System (HealthStream) and additional Microsoft computer program management required
  • Lead Instructor of Nurse Residency (Transition to Practice) programs including: New Graduate RN Residency, Fellowship, Graduating Student Nurse Associate program
  • POCT/Glucometer Instructor 
  • PAPR Instructor
  • Aseptic Instructor
  • ECG Instructor
  • Provides annual education and competency testing.
  • Comprehensive current knowledge of nursing and health practices
  • Advocacy for evidence-based practice integration
  • Evidence of good communication skills
  • Ability to work well one-on one or in groups
  • Other duties as assigned by Education department 
  • Maintains all required qualifications for area assigned.
  • Physically able to perform the functions of the position.
  • Act as liaison with local colleges and universities
  • All other tasks as assigned.
