We are seeking to find a professional candidate to fill in for our building Registered Nurses when they need to be out of the building. Qualified employees will possess a current RN license. Responsible for the development of all IEP goals, benchmarks, and accommodations for students requiring health related services. This is a part-time, 30 hours per week, 10-Month position. Duties and Responsibilities: Consult with parents, school personnel, physicians, clinics, and other agencies on school health issues. Partner with School Directors and school-based nurses in developing and implementing standardized, evidence-based delivery of nursing care to students across campuses. Attend and participate in Special Education eligibility and IEP meetings as appropriate. Assess and respond to needs related to the responsibility of being a school nurse and the requirements of all individual education plans (IEPs). Provide counseling and follow-up services to students with disabilities as delineated in the IEP/504. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to determine if health adversely affects the student's educational process and the development of all IEP goals, benchmarks, and accommodations for students requiring health related services.
