American Traveler is seeking an experienced RNFA for a Surgery Recovery Unit position requiring CA RN licensure and CNOR certification. Job details: - Work in the Surgery Recovery Unit within an acute hospital OR setting - Trauma Level I and II hospital environment - Community hospital experience required - Patient ratio of 1:1 - Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM - Epic charting system experience preferred - Performs surgical first assist duties including sponge counting, suctioning, irrigation, and wound dressing - Supports a wide range of surgical specialties including gynecology, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, thoracic, ENT, and plastics - Utilizes robotics including Da Vinci and Da Vinci Xi Surgical Systems for various procedures - Uses electrosurgical units and fiber optic light sources/cords Requirements: - Active CA RN license required - Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CNOR - Minimum of 5 years of RNFA experience required - Trauma Level I and Level II experience required - Community hospital experience required - Previous travel nursing experience required - Teaching hospital and LTAC experience preferred - Previous charge experience preferred - Epic charting experience preferred - Skilled in aseptic technique and isolation precautions/PPE Additional information: - Functions as a perioperative team member under the direct supervision of the surgeon - Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care within full scope of RNFA licensure - Delivers holistic, individualized care and develops interdisciplinary care plans incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors - Fosters collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers - Adheres to hospital policies, industry standards, and applicable regulations to ensure high-quality patient care - Scrubs are provided - Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at the local rate - Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract - Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day - Returning employees/travelers must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible to return
