Seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join one of the world's most respected centers devoted exclusively to cancer patient care, research, education and prevention. MD Anderson's Genitourinary Cancer Center is one of the most active programs in the country for treating cancers of the urinary tract and male reproductive system. We take a team approach to treating genitourinary cancers, and you are an important part of the team. Specialized medical oncologists, surgeons and radiation oncologists collaborate closely to customize your cancer treatment. The ideal candidate brings at least one year of MA experience, hands-on procedure experience, and the ability to stay adaptable in a fast paced clinical setting. They excel in high volume workflows, maintain strong patient care standards, and hold MA certification-preferred but not required. The schedule will be Monday - Friday / 8 hours (no holidays, weekends). Essential Functions: Assists with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures. Prepares/stocks rooms and escorts patients to rooms.
