Hours: 24 flex 32hrs Shift: Day shift, 7:45am - 4:30pm Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA Current certification in one of the following: Nursing Assistant/Aide or Medical Assistant is required. BLS certification is required. A minimum of one (1) year work experience in healthcare setting or related medical office or clinic practice is preferred. National third- party certification is required for medical assistants within 13 months of hire. Southcoast Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Responsibilities Position repots to Manager, Wound Care Center or designee. Perform a variety of clinic duties related to providing assistance to nursing staff in carrying out wound care treatments and medical office tasks related to ongoing department functions. Qualifications Equal to completion of four years of high school or equivalent is required. Must have successful completion of a Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant/Aide program. BLS certification is required. Prior experience with an electronic medical record and/or health related computer software is preferred. Customer service experience or training preferred. A minimum of one (1) year work experience in healthcare setting or related medical office or clinic practice is preferred. Fluency in a language other than English is preferred. National third- party certification is required for medical assistants within 13 months of hire. Current certification in one of the following: Nursing Assistant/Aide or Medical Assistant. Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Pay Range USD $17.66 - USD $29.70 /Hr.
