Important Role Expectations This is a 1099 PRN role requiring consistency and reliability. Maintain ongoing monthly availability Be responsive during onboarding and scheduling Honor confirmed visits and assignments Work independently and professionally in the field Minimum commitment: ~30 hours per month, ongoing - Not intended for casual or very short‑term engagement. Position Details 32 Hours Per Week and Monday - Friday Caseload Kindergarten through 12th Grade District-wide float position Primary responsibility is supporting students with diabetes and providing diabetic care services across multiple school sites Responsibilities Monitor and support students with diabetes throughout the school day Perform blood glucose monitoring and document results Administer insulin and other diabetes-related medications per physician orders Recognize and respond to hypoglycemic and hyperglycemic events Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to ensure student safety and well-being Maintain accurate health records and documentation Requirements Active California LVN License High experience with diabetic care required School-based or pediatric experience preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and travel between school sites as needed The district is interviewing and making hiring decisions quickly.
