Job Description We are searching for a Staff Nurse—someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. Job Summary and Qualifications The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance. Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention. Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner. Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively. Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding. Teaches patients/families/caregivers about any non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management. Position Summary Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center, located in Medford, is a 378-bed regional referral and level 2 trauma center featuring the latest medical technology and clinical expertise--all administered with a patient-focused philosophy. Our hospital team delivers nationally recognized heart and vascular care, orthopedic services, and cancer care, as well as a comprehensive range of other key services including neurology and neurosurgery, bariatric surgery, rehabilitation services, work health, diabetes care, hospice services, a primary stroke center, an accredited hospital-based sleep center, and the regions only neonatal intensive care unit. Our state-of-the-art Emergency Department at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (ARRMC) sees an average of 130 patients a day. It is a level 2 trauma center. We have 39 rooms with 20 designated as high acuity, 5 moderate/low acuity, 4 Psych flex rooms and 5 Triage rooms. RN to patient ratios are: 1:1 - 1:4 depending on acuity.
