Directs the development and implementation of nursing care plans on a unit. Provides individual care, and functions as an educator and nursing services expert. Assesses work methods of nursing staff and provides feedback to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of care delivered. Coordinates medical and nursing care needs with other health care providers and departments. Ensures proper functioning of equipment and unit compliance with safety and environmental standards. Monitors nursing care quality standards, and implements corrective actions as needed. Attends and participates in medical committees to represent nursing staff needs and the individual population, and participates in writing of care standards. The Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation at Hoosick Falls is seeking experienced RN's to join our team! We are currently hiring for a full time evening shift supervisor (2pm-10pm) as well as all shifts on the weekend (either every weekend or every other weekend). Candidates must have an up to date NY RN License as well as prior Nursing Home experience. Job Duties include: · Direct day to day functions of nursing care in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility. · Ensure that all nursing service personnel are following their respective job descriptions. · Assist in the process of admitting, transferring, discharging residents as necessary. · Greet and assess all new admissions. · Monitor accident/incident reportable events for accuracy and completeness: submit to appropriate administrative staff as per facility policy. · Provide leadership that includes administrative and supervisory principles. · Assist with or conduct staff meetings and in-services as required. · Review resident care plans to ensure appropriate care is being rendered. · Review grievances made by residents and/or family members and make a written or oral report to the DNS or forward to the Social Service department, indicating what actions were taken to resolve the complaint or grievance. · Review Nursing documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness in information and descriptions.
