Assists with safety and prevention of work related injuries and compliance with OSHA standards such as the respiratory fit test program. Provides assistance to the Employee Health and Safety Manager and coordinates the day to day flow within the department. Notifies and schedules employees for immunizations, maintains supply of immunizations, and administers immunizations according to written standing orders. Coordinates annual flu immunizations. Provides first aid to injured employees and directs to appropriate follow up care if needed. Emails immunization records to employees as requested. Orders and maintains supplies for Employee Health. Greets individuals entering Employee Health Service’s office and provides appropriate customer service. The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above: Assists with reasonable suspicion drug screening. He/She provides hospice care through the evaluation and assessment of the health history, health promotion, diagnosing medical conditions, management of health problems by directing and developing the plan of care, prescribing medications or treatments, coordinating and collaborating with patients, families and other healthcare practitioners. Under the supervision of a physician, the nurse practitioner visits patients, completes physical assessments, performs face to face assessments and evaluates hospice eligibility as assigned in consultation with the hospice interdisciplinary team.
