The University of Iowa Community Clinics (UICC) is seeking a patient centered 50% Staff Nurse to work within our Psychiatry Clinic located in Bettendorf, IA . We use a patient-centered care approach—a partnership between you and your team of providers, nurses and therapists—to develop a treatment plan that meets your needs. This position will mainly support Psychiatry but could also support other service lines/clinics based on clinical needs/hours. Develops patient care plan based on patient condition, age, and psychological, educational, and socioeconomic conditions that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes. Implements patient care plan according to patient priorities, which includes interventions identified through nursing diagnoses. Documents/reports interventions and patient/family response. Collaborates and integrates contributions of patients and families into multidisciplinary patient care plan. Develops, coordinates and implements transfer/discharge planning throughout episode of care. Implements nursing interventions according to department, division, and/or unit policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. RN, OT, PT, SLP Clinical Support Specialist Organization: Marquis Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA) Department: Clinical Operations Reports To: Director of Patient Services FLSA Status: Exempt Position Summary The Clinical Support Specialist serves as a clinical resource and operational support partner for Marquis Certified Home Health Care (CHHA) clinicians, providing expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant, patient-centered home health services. This position supports clinicians and leadership through clinical oversight, workflow processing, quality assurance activities, staff education, documentation review, regulatory compliance monitoring, and process improvement initiatives. You’ll be the ‘in-box ninja’ of the organization, ensuring that everything that comes after the patient visit is smooth and seamless. The Clinical Support Specialist must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN), Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT) or Speech Therapy (SLP) with home health experience and a strong understanding of state, federal, and CHHA regulations and standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Support & Oversight Serve as a clinical resource to field clinicians regarding patient care, agency policies, documentation requirements, and best practices. Assist with clinical case reviews to ensure patients receive appropriate, safe, and effective care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote coordination of care and positive patient outcomes. Provide guidance regarding patient assessments, plan of care development, and appropriate service utilization. Support clinicians in identifying and addressing complex patient needs. Quality Assurance & Compliance Conduct reviews of clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, reimbursement integrity, and regulatory compliance. Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited nursing, physical therapy, speech language therapy or occupational therapy program.
