Encourage family involvement through volunteering and visitation. Provide a clean, safe, non-hazardous unit for the residents and staff. Assist in providing an individualized symptom management tracking system as needed per resident, including development and maintenance of individualized, non-pharmacological interventions implemented. Complete all required documentation. Maintain all program policies and procedures and state and federal regulations. Interpret the department’s policies and procedures to personnel, residents, visitors and government agencies as necessary. For more information, please visit our website at: https://glenoakshospital.com/ The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. Position Hours: 7pm - 7am, three nights per week, rotating weekends Qualifications Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience: A minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred. Licensure: Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the Texas State Board of Nursing. Additional Requirements: CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Handle with Care (HWC) and Verbal De-escalation before on the unit orientation and prior to assisting in a restraining process. Must pass a medication administration exam and complete a basic developmental competency exam.
