Passes sterile instruments to the surgical team during a surgical procedure. 6. Assists with transportation and positioning of the patients to include assisting the surgical team by holding retractors and position of operative limb under direction of surgeon 7. Prepares supplies and equipment for surgical procedure following preference cards. 8. Assists with sterilization and maintenance of sterile and non-sterile supplies and equipment. 9. Monitors inventory; orders; and restocks supplies, instruments, and equipment. 10. Removes out-of-date items and discards or reprocesses following established guidelines. 11. Assists with the general cleaning duties of the department. 12. Performs equipment checks as assigned. 13. Assists with the proper recording of patient charges. 14. Call with a response time of 30 minutes. For facilities with specialty accreditation requirements: 1. Completion of annual required education related to specialty accreditation as defined by accreditation standards. Training may be completed through CBLs, trainings, In-services, and competency validation. In this role you will be responsible for providing assistance to residents in the Assisted Living Program with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity. Job Description Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living. Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor. Provide emotional and social support to residents. Document daily log of assistance. Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns. Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents. Respect residents’ confidentiality. Qualifications You have at least one year of experience working in senior care. Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations. You have basic computer skills. You are compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic and helpful. You have the ability to work as a part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently. You possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. You have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in high stress situations. You can maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward the residents and your co-workers.
