We are seeking an experienced Clinical Resource Nurse, licensed as an RN in California who will partner with our clinical leaders of our facilities in California. The ideal candidate must possess at least five years of experience as a Director of Nursing for Skilled Nursing Care facilities, have a strong understanding of CMS and CDPH regulatory requirements, possess the capacity to lead staff and be willing to travel amongst the assigned facilities on a frequent basis. The primary purpose of your job position is to coach the Directors of Nursing in your region toward clinical, cultural, and financial excellence through intentional leadership. You will guide the teams to care for their residents and staff not only to meet the regulatory requirements but assist to refine processes that help the teams become the best care givers they can be. The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) provides state-of-the-art critical care to children with congenital and acquired heart disease. We also care for adults with congenital heart disease in the immediate post-operative period. Our facility is one of the largest and most technologically advanced units dedicated to the care of critically ill pediatric cardiac patients in the western United States. We care for more than 750 patients each year. Our CVICU is currently a 29-bed unit with plans to expand to 36 beds in the next few years. We are a post-surgical and cardiac medical unit. Our Pediatric Heart Transplant program is complemented by the Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Therapies (PACT) program. PACT provides artificial circulatory assist devices as alternatives to or bridges to transplant. These include ECMO, the Berlin Heart and Heart Mate. We are looking for individuals who can embrace our mission to purposely brighten and enrich the lives of those we serve with HEART; Hospitality, Excellence, Appreciation, Respect & Teamwork.This position is responsible for providing licensed nursing services to residents, following the guidelines provided by Senior Lifestyle Corporation.Job DescriptionResponsible for medication administration for the residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.May be responsible for the admissions of new residents to include all admission assessments and documentation.Responsible for completing acute and long-term care plans or service plans.May be responsible for clinical system tracking (i.e. wounds or infection control) under the direction of the director.Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community.Notify physicians and/or family members of any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation.Respond quickly to all emergencies.Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information. May be responsible for discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as needed. QualificationsLevel of Formal Education: Training from an accredited licenses or vocational nursing program Area of Study: General nursing Years of Experience: 1+ years Type of Experience: Senior care or related field Special Certifications: Must have a Licensed Practical Nurse’s License current in the state in which they are practicing. Also, needs to be CPR Certified Language Skills: Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.
