One to two years of experience in a related healthcare field preferred. Must provide record of a completed diploma (or equivalent) or academic transcript for those areas performing complexity testing. WORKING CONDITIONS Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures. Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected. Administer professional services such as: catheterization, tube feedings, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy, and drainage bags, care of the dead/dying, etc., as required. Participate in the orientation of new customers/family members to the facility. Arrange for diagnostic and therapeutic services, as ordered by the physician. Notify the customer’s attending physician and family when there is a change in the customer’s conditions. Obtain sputum, urine and other lab tests as ordered. Take and record TPR’s, blood pressures, accuchecks, etc., as necessary. Contact the customer’s physician for: Nursing assessment of change of condition. Medication orders or charges. To inform of incidents. To report abnormal results of Lab and X-ray. Anything else pertinent to the customers’ care and well-being.
