Overview Our Cardiac/Neuro Medical and Acute Stroke Unit is a 42-bed unit dedicated to our patients diagnosed with both neurological and cardiac conditions, such as congestive heart failure or acute stroke. This area is a 1:6 ratio staffed with a group of highly skilled nurses trained to work with these specific diagnoses. Position Description: Certified Surgical Technologist The Surgical Technologist is a member of the health care team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a RN according to accepted clinical standards of care. Prepares equipment, instruments, supplies, operating room, and patients to ensure sterile field. Coordinates preparation or disposal of specimens, etc. Assists with inventory of sterile supplies. May assist in patient transport. Position Details Location: Morton Plant Status: Full Time, Exempt: No Shift Hours: 6:45am - 7:15pm Weekend Work: Every Other On Call: No Requirements Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program OR completion of a military or hospital-based training program with 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience.
