Nurses perform sarcoid studies in PET using heparin. We monitor mapping patients after procedures in Interventional Radiology. Coronary CTAs are done regularly utilizing metoprolol IV, diltiazem IV and nitroglycerin. Help thyroid cancer patients with prepping them for Iodine therapies and testing. We teach the nuclear medicine students the patient care curriculum in the allied health program. The main topics are direct patient care, vital signs, and EKG rhythm interpretation.
