Administers prescribed medications and treatments as permitted by law. Assesses all medicines a client may be taking to identify possible ineffective drug therapy or adverse reactions, significant side effects, drug allergies, contraindicated medications and reports any problems to the physician. Re-evaluates client’s nursing needs and reports findings to Case Manager. Counsels and instructs the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs. Prepares clinical and progress notes. Submits all documentation in a timely manner in accordance with agency policy. Documentation on patients chart correlates with nursing care plan. Communicates frequently and works closely with other home care team members. Qualifications Must be a graduate of an approved school of clinical education. Must be licensed in the state where they currently practice. Must have at least one year experience as a licensed nurse.
