You will be stooping, pushing, and pulling when moving a patient into position for treatment; also you will be reaching, handling, feeling, and manipulation of equipment into position. Working Conditions: The majority of the time employee spends indoors in air-conditioned areas. The potential for exposure to blood and blood-borne pathogens is significant. Clinical exposure to patients requires the use of personal protective equipment. Personal Protective Equipment: This position is high exposure to infectious wastes such as blood and bodily fluids that mandate the wearing of gloves, masks, gowns, and goggles as appropriate. OVERVIEW: Responsible for the overall operation and optimal quality of care for the residents on the assigned unit. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the facility's administration and the Nursing Policies and Procedures. As an LPN you will be responsible for providing residents assistance with ADLs and in the administration of their medications while overseeing staff. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Holds daily shift report with nursing assistants assigned to the unit prior to the start of the shift. Reviews written daily assignments for each resident on assigned unit.
