Job Responsibility Manages and has 24/7 responsibility for the team members, operations and patient care activities of a patient care unit. Demonstrates current knowledge of clinical competencies for patient population of oversight in order to manage direct patient care. Maintains current knowledge of scope and standards of practice, healthcare legislation, and population health. Performs a variety of functions and technical procedures necessary for the admission of patients, utilizing the Nursing processes of assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and outcome evaluation.
