Develops and maintains effective communication mechanism with all external and internal customers. Exemplifies service orientation and the team concept in all contacts. 8. This position will complete all necessary on-boarding/orientation activities, including simulation training, as needed or directed. 9. Responsibilities Include: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Initiates the admission process by obtaining provider orders upon patient arrival at a residential facility and completing the initial nursing assessment within 24 hours, including assistance with medical intake (patient history and physical). Performs vital sign monitoring, including orthostatic vitals and blind weights as ordered by the provider; conducts patient assessments and documents findings in detailed nursing notes. Supports the informed consent process by helping patients understand procedures and treatments under the direction of the provider. This all‐private room unit cares for the post‐surgical patient following vaginal and abdominal hysterectomy, bladder repairs, laparoscopic procedures, plastics, mastectomies/breast reconstruction, and women with medical‐surgical complications.
