Teaches hospice philosophy and pain and symptom management to staff in alternate care settings (nursing homes, hospital, assisted-living facilities, etc.). Collaborates/Communicates with Medical Director, attending physician, branch leadership and IDG. Performs other duties/projects as assigned. What is Required? Graduate of an accredited Certificate, Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing Current State Licensee as a Registered Nurse RN 1 year of experience in a clinical care setting Experience in hospice or home health environment is preferred Nursing skills as defined by accepted nursing standards Ability to handle multiple priorities, documentation requirements, and deadlines Able and willing to travel up to 50% as needed to support business and patient needs. Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment Valid driver’s license and insurance and reliable transportation to perform job tasks You will report to the Clinical Team Manager. Registered Nurse PreOp at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth: · Under the direct supervision of the Director of Surgical Services, Clinical Nurse Manager and Team Coordinator / Charge Nurse, the nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients' condition, providing patient safety comfort, and privacy at all times for Baylor Scott &White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth and Baylor Scott &White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth Outpatient Center. Qualifications Education: · Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current Texas RN License Current BLS, must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire Required Experience: Demonstrates knowledge and ability to use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of the patient Demonstrates discretionary ability in establishing priority.
