The ARNP will provide comprehensive primary care services focusing on prevention, chronic disease management and health promotion for diverse patient populations. This role requires collaboration with physicians, RNs, pharmacists, social workers, behavioral health specialists and other professionals to optimize the health of MultiCare communitiesResponsibilities Direct Patient Care • Conducts comprehensive assessments, diagnose conditions, develop plans, and prescribe medications for patients across the lifespan • Diagnoses and treats acute and chronic disease using evidence-based guidelines • Provides preventive care, health education and counseling to individuals and families • Timely and accurate documentation, inclusive of direct patient encounters and asynchronous care • Participates in the coverage for clinic colleagues per departmental guidance • Participates in after-hours call coverage per departmental guidance Multidisciplinary Collaboration • Participates in multidisciplinary meetings, care reviews and care planning • Coordinates care with all members of the delivery team • Contributes to the development and improvement of population-based care Population Health Management • Utilizes data and risk stratification tools to prioritize our patients at greatest risk to prioritize outreach • Engages in quality improvement focused on health outcomes, cost effectiveness and cost reduction • Supports transitions of care and reduced readmissions and ED use Citizenship • Demonstrates the MultiCare values of compassion, stewardship, kindness, joy collaboration and respect • Adheres to MultiCare policies and processes Requirements • Maintains active Washington State Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license • DEA, and state prescriptive authority • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $141,394.00 - $149,996.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align. The Nurse Manager is responsible for planning, directing and controlling the services and daily operations of their department/clinics. The manager oversees the administrative functions including day-to-day operations, develop and oversee budget, human resources management, and quality assurance activities for their department/clinic. This management position collaborates with medical leaders, peers and colleagues at Fred Hutch as well as our partner institutions (UW Medical Center, and Seattle Children's) to assure the provision of high quality, patient and family-centered care in an environment that facilitates the conduct of clinical research. Work situations range from clinical to managerial and require independent decision-making, analysis, policy and program development, problem and issue resolution and leadership skills. This position is 1.0 FTE, 40 hours/week. Responsibilities With medical staff leaders, is responsible for the organizational, management, operational and administrative activities of the clinics. Provides for Registered Nurse and assistive personnel supervision at the appropriate depth and scope for the patient/population needs. Functions as a clinical role model for staff nurses by staying current on clinical practice issues. Assures a safe environment for clinical staff to care for patients, including provision of appropriate patient care equipment and assuring compliance with procedures. Ensure department is staffed appropriately and supervise staff, including hiring, performance evaluations, ensuring training and development, handling disciplinary action, layoff and termination issues. Provides teaching, coaching and consultation on clinical issues for professional nursing staff. Encourages innovative approaches to patient care in collaboration with clinic management team. Support and implements specific customer service, financial goals & objectives and quality initiatives consistent with Fred Hutch strategic plan and goals. Prepares and monitors the operating budget. Analyzes financial impact of internal changes and implements clinically sound cost-efficiencies. Ensures customer satisfaction by analyzing customer complaints, concerns and suggestions and providing appropriate follow-through. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Must have current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license or current NLC multistate license (MSL); and must upgrade to an MSL with primary state of residence, WA, within 60 days of hire. This requirement may be waived under specific circumstances, subject to approval. Works well with team members toward a common purpose; reinforces the efforts and goals of the work group; supports the team’s decisions regardless of individual viewpoint. Demonstrates good customer relations skills. Demonstrated leadership skills. Proficiency in use of standard office computer software programs, equipment and clinical information systems. Preferred: Master’s Degree in healthcare or business or an equivalent in combination of education and experienced. Possesses working knowledge of financial processes, including budget preparation and asset management. Experience in implementing Lean principles and Continuous Process Improvement Methodology. The annual base salary range for this position is from $142,252.00 to $237,057.00, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
