Time Type: Full time Department: South End Washington Primary Care All Locations: 1601 Washington Street, 400 Shawmut Avenue Position Summary: Working in close partnership with a provider(s), the medical assistant assists and directs care of patients in a practice. Their primary function is to manage efficient patient flow and to be available to assist providers as needed. The Medical Assistant is responsible for various non-skilled nursing tasks, for the maintenance and control of non-pharmaceutical supplies and equipment, and for assigned support activities. The Medical Assistant assumes a range of patient care responsibilities dealing with the physical and emotional aspects of assigned patients ages 0 months to greater than 100 years. Prepares for assigned clinics and ensures all test results and instruments are available per department protocol. Be available to assist with their assigned providers. Communicates with them throughout the session. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Vital signs. Pulse oximetry. Use of 02 equipment. Obtaining EKG’s. Laboratory studies such as glucometer, urine dip stick urinalysis and others as requested. Cleans and wraps instruments for sterilization. Follows procedure for operation of autoclave and properly documents each load. Qualifications and requirements: HS Diploma/GED and a graduate of a Certified Medical Assistant program. One year of Medical Assisting experience strongly preferred. One year of Customer Service experience. Excellent oral, listening, and written communication skills. Computer literacy. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish). Responsibilities What You’ll Do as Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) Position: Partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily nursing operations and ensure exceptional resident outcomes. Supervise and develop nursing staff - fostering engagement, accountability, and professional growth. Serve as Infection Control Preventionist, leading compliance and safety initiatives. Participate in audits, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary care planning. Step in as Director of Nursing when needed to ensure continuity of leadership and care. Support staffing, onboarding, and training - helping maintain 24-hour nursing coverage and high-quality service. From Up to Qualifications What You'll Need as Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) Position: Must possess, as a minimum, a degree in Nursing from an accredited school. Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as in state. Baccalaureate degree preferred. Working knowledge of the needs of geriatric complex care requiring long term care, the principles of management, supervision, organizational behavior and structure, and communication systems. A physical examination and/or evidence from a physician indicating free of communicable disease to be available upon employment. Must be in good physical and mental health. Ability to work independently or part of a group. Effectively communicate with others. If expected to drive company vehicle- must have valid driver's license with good driving record and be at least 21 years of age. (In order to comply with company Driving Standards P&P). Must have, as a minimum, 2 years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility. Previous long-term care experience is desirable. Computer knowledge preferred. This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. Job Summary Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our skilled nursing team. As a CNA, you will assist residents with activities of daily living and provide essential support to nursing staff while helping ensure high-quality, compassionate, and resident-centered care. Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) according to care plans and facility policies, including bathing, grooming, oral care, hair care, lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transferring. Coordinate dining services, including meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and accurate documentation of intake. Deliver nutritional supplements and assist residents as needed while documenting intake accurately. Measure and record vital signs, weight, intake, and output. Promptly report changes in residents' condition to the nurse and supervisor. Monitor residents' skin condition and report pressure areas, skin breakdown, or skin tears to the nurse and supervisor. Provide supportive services to nurses and other members of the care team as needed. Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents. Complete accurate daily documentation. Demonstrate flexibility when accepting different assignments. Promote resident dignity, respect, safety, and comfort in all interactions. Qualifications Current, unencumbered Massachusetts CNA certification in good standing. High school diploma or equivalent. Must have no disciplinary actions against certification. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong critical-thinking skills. Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and professionalism. Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing excellent resident care. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
