About the Job: As part of the unit leadership team, the Resource Nurse directly oversees their designated unit’s operational flow on a particular shift. The Resource RN develops staff patient assignments based on staff competency, acuity, and volume. The role coordinates patient care activities and the staffing plan of a particular shift to maintain patient safety. They serve as a role model and resource for the team providing guidance and assistance in delivering quality care to patients. Key Responsibilities The Per Diem NP/PA will be responsible for: Providing direct inpatient care for critically ill and medically complex cardiac patients in the CICU and ACCU. Performing comprehensive patient assessments, developing treatment plans, monitoring clinical progress, and coordinating discharge planning in collaboration with supervising physicians. Participating in daily multidisciplinary rounds and collaborating with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and consulting services to optimize patient outcomes.
