In this role you will provide direct support to patients throughout the inpatient stay for all abdominal transplant patients. This individual will utilize advance practice skills obtained through the completion of a formal provider program. These skills include advanced levels of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care, as well as performing some invasive procedures. For this position, the APP will be responsible for functions related to the clinical care and management of solid organ transplant patients and others with end-stage organ disease. The APP is also responsible for planning, organizing, and directing patient care efforts in collaboration with medical and surgical physicians and other team members. You will assist the nursing and medical staff in providing care to patients undergoing surgical intervention and performing surgical scrub technologist duties; collaborate with nursing and other disciplines, when necessary, to revise the plan of care to meet the changing needs of the patient, having constant contact with the Operating Room staff, physicians, clerical staff, anesthesia staff, and materials management.
