About this Job: Job Summary The Nurse Navigator for Urology plays a critical role in guiding patients through diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for urologic conditions. About this Job: General Summary of Position The incumbent in this position is responsible for intraoperative delivery of patient care in the scrub role; assists Core Leader OR with orientation training and supply inventory for a specific surgical specialty consistent with specialty alignment. This role focuses on managing complex post-operative patients and collaborating closely with CVT surgeons and the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes. Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience. Minimum Qualifications Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse. Experience: 0 years of registered nurse clinical experience. Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association. Minimal Qualifications Education Associate's degree in Nursing required Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred If prepared at the associate degree in nursing level required to enroll in a BSN program within 12 months of hire date and completion within 4 years of hire date Experience 1-2 years RN experience required Licenses and Certifications RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state or jurisdiction of the facility seeking employment Upon Hire required and CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Upon Hire required and C-EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring Perinatal nurses (labor and delivery antepartum antenatal testing) must obtain certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) from the National Certification within 12 months from date of hire. New to specialty nurses (labor and delivery antepartum antenatal testing) will have 15 months from date of hire to obtain the EFM certification. and Additional unit/clinic specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
