The Waterford Care Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team! As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will be assuming responsibility and accountability for a group of residents for or a shift of duty. Nursing care is provided through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care. Registered Nurse (RN) Duties and Responsibilities: Provides licensed care to assigned residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations Ensures assigned work area (i.e. nurse station, medication cart, medication room, etc.), resident care rooms and treatment areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner. Takes and records residents blood pressure and vital signs, administers catheter care, administers IV therapy to residents as ordered within license limitations, and provides respiratory care, e.g. oxygen, nebulizer treatments. Charts nurses notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided as well as the resident’s response to the care. Ensures the resident’s environment is as free from accidents and hazards. Immediately corrects/addresses potential safety risks as prudent and warranted. Monitors and directs non-licensed ancillary services as deemed necessary to meet professional standards and maintain the highest practicable level of resident care Communicate/report information to residents, resident families, physicians, guardians, governmental agencies, and facility personnel as required by facility policy and State/Federal guidelines. Ensures that all aspects of resident care plans are implemented and maintained. Make recommendations for care plan changes to the IDT per professional standards. Ensures compliance with infection control standards. Immediately corrects/addresses identified instances of non-compliance. Follows and adheres to company policies and procedures regarding HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) compliance. All other duties, as assigned. Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications and Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Gracious and welcoming personality for customer service interaction. Ability to multi-task and remain calm under stress. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work. Understands and follows infection control standards, policies and procedures. Must be able to adapt to a flexible work schedule and occasional overnight travel. Responsibilities: Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history. Assist the physician during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are available. Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times. Schedule patient appointments and manage office communications. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and proper skincare practices. Ensure the examination rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies. High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred. Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in a clinical setting. Knowledge of medical terminology and practices relevant to dermatology. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff effectively. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Basic proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and general office software.
