Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides direct supervision and monitoring of the nursing care given to our residents on a daily basis ensuring required documentation is completed. Provides leadership and guidance to the nursing staff. Provides treatments and medications for our residents. Attends and participates in “at risk” meetings, morning clinical meetings, QAPI meetings, safety meetings, and care plan meetings. Shares “on-call” responsibilities with other supervisory staff and provides direct care as necessary. Investigates accidents and incidents related to our residents and staff. Writes and reviews care plans identifying the problem/needs of each resident, the care to be given, goals to be accomplished and updating the care plan as needed. Conducts nursing assessments. Reviews resident change in condition report daily to ensure necessary follow up occurs including appropriate interventions are implemented and the family has been notified. Complies with and ensures that staff is in compliance with HIPAA rules and regulations. Initiates disciplinary action as necessary for staff members. Participates in annual survey and/or complaint survey processes as directed. Performs additional duties as assigned.
