Job Description This Nurse Practitioner (NP) position is assigned to the Washington Health Cancer Center. In collaboration with the supervising physician and the administrative supervisor, the NP provides comprehensive care to patients with cancer who are receiving active treatment, patients in cancer survivorship, and patients with benign hematologic conditions. The NP delivers evidence-based clinical care, including assessment and management of treatment-related toxicities, oncologic emergencies, symptom management, survivorship care, and benign hematologic disorders. Position Qualifications · At least 18 years of age. · Current registration with the State of California Home Care Aide Registry. We Provide paid training and help you with the registration process. · Completion of a criminal background check and disclosure of any criminal history or evidence of exemption. · Evidence of entry-level training or plan to complete paid training prior to client care and in accordance with CA regulations. · Evidence of tuberculosis testing and verification that the home care aide does not have active tuberculosis. · Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given. · Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision. · Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired. · Demonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene. · Valid driver’s license and auto insurance and/or reliable transportation required. Physical Demands · Regularly required to sit, use hands or fingers, handle, or feel and talk or hear. · Required to reach with hands and arms. · Required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and taste or smell. · Must be able to lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and or move from 25 up to 50 pounds. · Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Schedule: Part time/ Full time/ Weekend/ flexible shift available COVID-19 considerations: Masked can be worn if the caregiver feels safer doing so and will not be sent to any client's home that has COVID-19 until they are better.
