Home Therapies RN Position PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The registered professional nurse Home Therapies RN CAP 1 is an entry level designation into the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). This position is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients. Assesses and manages patients’ response to home dialysis training and treatment therapy by following prescribed predetermined protocols and communicates patient related issues to the physician as needed. Cardiovascular disorders cared for on 3 South include: MI-following the acute stay in the HVICU, Heart Failure; Pulmonary Edema; Arrhythmias; Post-interventional Radiology patients; Post-procedure Angioplasty; Valvular Heart Disease. The staff cares for Thoracic Surgery patients undergoing various thoracic surgical procedures such as lobectomy, esophagectomy, sleeve resection/chest wall resection, VATS, lung volume reduction surgery and endobronchial valves.
