Candidates are required to have two (2) recent years of pediatric inpatient ICU experience (NICU/PICU/CICU). Shift and schedule details directly below. The Clinical Nurse Float Pool I is a clinically competent practitioner of pediatric, family-centered nursing. The nurse, at this level, provides safe nursing care to the general unit population ICU, Medical, Surgical, and at least 1 specialty area as defined in Supplemental Staffing Nursing Policy, with minimal guidance and bases practice on identified principles and standards of care. Minimum Total Hours: 48 hours per 6 week schedule period (0.175 FTE) Weekend Requirement: 24 hours per 6 week schedule period Department: Flex Team Holiday Requirement (Winter/Summer): None "High Request" Days: 1 per year Shifts Available: Evenings / Nights / Weekends What you will do 1.Nursing Practice Follows Nursing Process to deliver safe care: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Pulmonary Unit Our 34-bed unit specializes in the care of patients of all ages with pulmonary and complex medical needs, many of whom are technology-dependent. A significant portion of our patient population has compromised lung function from birth, often due to prematurity and other co-morbidities, including neurologic and developmental challenges. Our complex care population consists of a specialized group of patients requiring coordinated care across multiple consulting services.
