Overview Registered Nurse Ambulatory Navigator – Medical Molecular Genetics Indiana University Health Indiana University Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse Navigator to support our Medical Molecular Genetics service line. Directly manages regionally-allocated MA and RN preceptors Prioritize clinical team member retention by creating an engaging culture that inspires commitment and encourages excellence and strives for equity and inclusion. Remain knowledgeable of industry standards and state regulations, and monitor and review best practices as necessary. Advise the regional and central nursing leadership teams about performance, and opportunities to improve care outcomes, quality, experience, and employee engagement. Collaborate with Central and Regional Leadership in implementation of clinical operational standards and processes to streamline operations and patient flow. Work with the clinical and leadership team to implement and execute new clinical services and programs, including addressing gaps and providing feedback on program improvement. Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA required. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding required. TB validated (to administer or read) or validation obtained within 6 months of hire preferred. Knowledge of Business Unit Quality Programs, Meaningful Use and Standard Work Programs and concepts within 6 months of hire. Knowledge of standard laboratory and medical procedures. Knowledge of insurance plans and third-party payers. Ability to master standard clinical competencies per current Clinical policy, Point of Care and Skills Competency checklists. Requires basic math and accurate data collection and entry skills.
