Based on state regulations, may perform administrative and/or field/clinical responsibilities with clinical direction from a Registered Nurse. MDS Coordinator SIGN ON BONUS $7.5K THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN BLOOMINGTON, IL Job Summary: The MDS Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of all Medicare/Medicaid case-mix and care plan documentation in order to assure appropriate reimbursement for care and services provided within the Facility. Conducts continual Minimum Data Set (MDS) and care plan reviews to assure completeness, thoroughness, and achievement of the optimal allowable Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM) and Resource Utilization Group (RUG) categorization. Oversees the overall process and tracking of MDS/Prospective Payment System (PPS) documentation and submission, care plan documentation, and the restorative nursing program. He/she will integrate nursing, dietary, social recreation, restorative, rehabilitation and physician services to ensure appropriate assessment and reimbursement.
